What is enough - financial advice about having and keeping enough
At a party given by a billionaire on Shelter Island, Kurt Vonnegut informs his pal, Joseph Heller, that their host, a hedge fund manager, had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his wildly popular novel Catch-22 over its whole history. I am sure you can think of others. The point of this blog is that knowing you have "enough" is liberating. How do you know you have enough? It is when you can expect your income and savings can support you for the time you can be expected to live. The amount of money you need to retire at 40 is dramtically different than what you need at 65.
