What is enough - financial advice about having and keeping enough

  At a party given by a billionaire on Shelter Island, Kurt Vonnegut informs his pal, Joseph Heller, that their host, a hedge fund manager, had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his wildly popular novel Catch-22 over its whole history.  Heller responds,“Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.” Elon Musk said he wouldn't work for Tesla unless they approved a trillion dollar pay package for him. I am sure you can think of others. The point of this blog is that knowing you have "enough" is liberating. How do you know you have enough? It is when you can expect your income and savings can support you for the time you can be expected to live.  The amount of money you need to retire at 40 is dramtically different than what you need at 65. This blog is aimed at us old folks that are over 60 and want to maintain a lifestyle without running out of money. For me at age 75, I think I have enough.
